Session Log — Track 01

A voice that
reads the room
not just the script.

I'm Tim Howell, a professional voice artist recording audiobooks, corporate narration, and commercial spots from a treated, ACX-ready home studio — usually turned around within 48 hours.

Tim Howell Photo

Forty years of listening
taught me how to speak.

My background is in manufacturing operations and people leadership — running teams, chairing meetings, coaching development conversations. That's where the voice work actually started: learning how tone lands, how pacing keeps a room with you, and how a script only works once you stop reading it and start saying it.

Today that same instinct goes into the booth. Whether it's an eight-hour audiobook or a fifteen-second commercial, the job is the same: understand what the listener needs to feel, and give it to them cleanly, on time, in one clean take.

Where my voice fits your project.

Long-form

Audiobooks

Full-length fiction and non-fiction narration, character work, and ACX/Audible-spec delivery from raw files to mastered chapters.

Business

Corporate & E-learning

Training modules, explainer videos, IVR and on-hold messaging, and internal communications that sound like a person, not a script.

Brand

Commercial & Ads

Radio, TV, and social ad reads with direction turned around fast — energetic, conversational, or straight-down-the-line, as the brief needs.

03:10 — How a session runs

Four steps from script to delivery.

01

Brief

Send the script, character notes, or brand guidelines. I'll confirm tone, pacing, and deadline before anything's recorded.

02

Sample take

For longer projects, you'll get a short sample first — so we agree on the voice before the full read begins.

03

Full recording

Recorded and edited in a treated space, checked for noise floor, plosives, and pacing against your brief.

04

Delivery & revisions

Files delivered to spec — WAV, MP3, or ACX chapter format — with one round of pickups included.

04:05 — The studio

A quiet room and a clean signal.

Every session runs through the same acoustically-treated chain, so what you hear in the sample is exactly what you get in the delivered files — no surprises between quote and quote-off.
